The Amazing FundRACER is food for the soul. It is joy and togetherness and community and family, and it is fueled by MFEE and our supporters who believe that public schools matter now more than ever - for our own kids and for EVERY kid. We race FOR THEM.
This year, MFEE is specifically dedicating a portion of funds raised to our educational equity work. We have launched our PEEPs in Nature program and JED High School to support teen mental health, with a special emphasis on supporting the mental health of students who do not have access to therapeutic services. We have developed three programs to holistically support recent immigrant families. We have grown our powerful and popular Montclair Learning Circles on Race that continue this important conversation. And we launched our Excellence in Equity super grants offering $150,000 to collaborative groups of stakeholders that are innovating to promote racial and socio-economic equity in our schools. We have done a lot...but our work is far from done.
